Solar Roof Panels – The Modern Product For Conservatory Roofs

We have recently began installing many of our Solar Roof Panels. Customers are loving this non-retractable option, which does not involve any drilling or holes being placed in their conservatories. At the back end of the summer, many were also complimenting on its effectiveness at preventing bugs from getting behind the fabric (a big problem with standard pleated roof blinds or pinoleum roof blinds). Because the fabric is tight within the perfect-fit frame, there is near enough 100% protection against bugs!!! Below is some pictures of a recent job…

As you can see from the pictures, the Soltis fabric we use allows for up to 92% protection from the suns rays, but still gives you visibility to the outside. So when its sunny, you still get the natural sunlight streaming through and brighterning up the room.

Perfect-Fit International Roof Blinds

We have now started to manufacture Perfect Fit International roof blinds for conservatories, which are available in 25mm pleats and a wide range of stunning colours. Each blind can be made to measure to fit all types of conservatory window sizes no matter how awkward the shape is.

Perfect Fit International roof blinds are specially designed with a hi-tech coating, which have advanced optical and solar properties that will filter light, help lower heat build up and reduce glare in the room. They are also available with a blackout effect coating to reduce excessive sunlight.

With these special properties, conservatories are more usable during the hot summers since excessive heat build up is greatly reduced. During colder months, the fabric of the blinds works in reverse and keeps the heat inside the conservatory.

Zipline Awning hits Jersey!

Sunshade Blinds Ltd have just started manufacturing the new Zipline Awning. This vertical awning is set to be very popular with its versatility, as can be installed indoors as well as outdoors. It is no ordinary vertical blind: its unique zipper system offers considerable advantages such as greater wind stability, up to 80 km/h, and light gaps at the sides are eliminated. During the warm months, you can also use the Zipline as an insect screen: open the windows, lower the Zipline fully – enjoy fresh air and still keep the little pests firmly outside with the zipper system and extra sealing profiles!

A zipper has been integrated in the side borders of the fabric. When the awning is lowered, the zipper runs inside the guide rails. This is the decisive advantage over conventional façade sunblinds: since not only the end bar but also the curtain itself are enclosed in the guide rail, there are no light gaps at the sides – the fabric and the mechanism form a single unit, which can withstand considerably stronger winds than other products. So the Zipline does not cast moving shadows even in strong winds.

Sunshade Blinds knocked out on penalties in charity event!

Sunshade Blinds were dramatically knocked out on sudden-death penalties in the Le Tournoi Football Challenge at Les Quennevais this weekend. Having participated in the local charity event, we advanced from the group stages of the competition, but faced a cruel 2nd round defeat. After a hugely successful weekend, we will be planning and preparing for next year in hope to progress even further!

New wood venetian range is launched!

Sunshade Blinds new Wood Venetian range has arrived. The Sherwood range features 28 wood slats, including traditional soft grain finishes as well as contemporary painted colours. It also sees the introduction of the new jumbo 63mm slat, which means there are four slat sizes to choose from.

We are also welcoming the more modern Wood Expression blinds – which is our new wood effect blinds. These offer a cheaper alternative to wood and are available in a great range of colour options and three slat widths. They are flame retardant, moisture resistant and easy to wipe clean. A new inventive product for our customers to choose from.
